Loving wife and mother, Marta M. Anderson passed away from heart failure on Tuesday, March 10th in her Santa Cruz home. Marta was born in Retalhuleu Guatemala on April 19, 1935, the second oldest of five children. In 1964 she came to California on vacation with a friend and decided to stay, so she applied for and received her green card. She met and married Robert, her husband of 47 years in 1967 and they built their home in Santa Cruz. Marta was proud to become a U.S. citizen in 1976. Marta is survived by her husband Robert of Santa Cruz and son Bryan of San Jose. She is also survived by brothers Carlos Monney, Jose Louis Monney and Rene Monney all of Guatemala. Funeral service and interment will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
