Obituary of Richard Sal Locatelli

Richard Locatelli, a native Santa Cruzan, passed away suddenly Friday evening. Together with his brother, Danny, he owned Locatelli Landscaping for 30 years. Following retirement he enjoyed volunteering with the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Richard also had a great passion for winemaking, and won first place at the Santa Cruz County Fair. He was at his happiest when he was fishing with family and friends at Walker, Ca. Richard leaves behind his wife, Sue, mother, Marie Locatelli, his two brothers, Dan and Sal Locatelli, his two daughters, Michelle (Robert) and Jennifer and his six grandchildren, Aubrey, Bridgette, Courtney, Anthony, Alexander and Adrian. He is also survived by his greater family and his friends who will all miss him deeply. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Vito and Vincenza Orlando and Adolfo and Angelina Locatelli, and by his father, Salvatore Locatelli. Funeral services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Please bring photos of Rich to share. A Vigil service will be held Monday evening at Oakwood Memorial, 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest near his father and four grandchildren.
