Obituary of Laura Jean Devereaux

Jean unexpectedly passed away during the early morning on Memorial Day at the age of 86. She was born in Marcy, NY to William and Antoinette Newlands and raised in Utica, NY. She then moved to Southern California with her younger sister, Barbara, in the early 1950s. After retirement, she moved to Soquel in Santa Cruz County and has been a resident for over 20 years. Jean leaves behind her son, Daniel Silvernail and his wife, Carrola; son, David Silvernail and his children, Lesley, Brett & Bradley; and daughter, Deborah Devereaux; sister, Barbara and many loving relatives and friends. She preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill and other beloved family and friends. She was a truly beautiful lady, kind and caring, and she will be dearly missed. Services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, CA on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 11 AM with burial to follow at Oakwood Memorial Park.
