Obituary of Carol Lorraine Buse

Carol Buse, 57, passed away at Dominican Hospital, Santa Cruz on May 28. Born on July 21, 1957 in Santa Clara, grew up in Santa Cruz. Carol was the younger daughter of Keith and Doreen (Slater) Buse. After graduating from Harbor High in 1975, Carol spent her career in Santa Cruz; including working at the Catalyst, at the Homeless Garden Project and as a drafter for System Studies. Carol will be remembered for her love of animals, her colorful flowers and bountiful vegetables, her stippling and her photography. She loved to ride the Giant Dipper and enjoyed barbeques to celebrate holidays and family events. Carol's memory lives on in her sister Sandra Sudbrink (Michael) of Santa Cruz; her Aunt, Phyllis Riley of Merritt B.C., her nieces; Jennifer Evers of Oakland and Kimberly Owens of Santa Cruz, and their families. At Carol's request, no services were held.
