Obituary of Jeanne Allene Carroll

JEANNE ALLENE CARROLL JUNE 17, 1936 - AUGUST 24, 2015 It is with great sadness that Jeanne Carroll our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, passed away peacefully in her home on August 24, 2015. Jeanne was born in San Francisco on June 17, 1936. At age 9 she moved with her family to Santa Cruz, making it her home for the remainder of her life. She attended Santa Cruz High School where she was awarded "Outstanding Girl Athlete" in 1951. Going on to later receive her nursing degree from Cabrillo College and working for Dominican Hospital for many years. She raised five children, Steven Bell (Pati) of Washington , Betty Danner Canfield (Charles)of Santa Cruz, Robert Bell (Lori) of Ben Lomond, Judith Bell (Alain) of Paris, France, and Michelle Carroll Venezio (Jeff) of Corralitos. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Hagan, but her loving memory lives on through her sister, Sharyn Simmons of Las Vegas, her children, her grandchildren: Christopher Ippisch of Davis, Katelyn Ippsich Condon (Robert) of Santa Cruz, Ashleigh and Jenna Venezio of Corralitos, her great granddaughter, Emily Condon and a big family of nephews, nieces and friends. Being an avid athlete, she continued to enjoy many sports throughout her life, always cheering for her home town baseball team, the S.F. Giants. After her retirement, when she wasn't walking West Cliff Drive you could find her at Cowell's Beach, better known as "her office", where she held many meetings with family and friends as she worked on her tan. Jeanne was known for her hardworking spirit and dedication to her family and friends. We will always cherish her famous lasagna dinners! May you rest in paradise, where we know you are dancing. Forever in our hearts, we love you. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, 3:00 p.m. held at the Santa Cruz Yacht Club, 244 4th Ave. You are invited to honor her favorite color by wearing a little something green.
