Obituary of Max Joseph Mikols

Max left peacefully, surrounded by his family, who were all there to say goodbye, as he left this life to journey to Heaven. He was 92 years old. Max joins in Heaven, his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Ellen Mikols (Dot), his daughter Claudia Jane Mikols (C-J), son-in-law Scott Reeder, as well as many brothers, sisters and his special niece Joanne Foster. Max proudly served his country with the Army Engineer Corps during WWII in the Philippines and Japan. After the war, in 1946 Max returned home to Chicago to marry his wife Dorothy and start a family. He moved his family to Costa Mesa in S. California in 1955 where he would make his career in the Aerospace industry and become a highly esteemed member of the Catholic church community. He leaves behind a large family legacy that will greatly miss him… daughter Sharon Reeder, sons John and Paul Mikols and daughter in law Judy McAfee. Grandchildren Astra Wood and spouse Brian, Casey Noland and spouse Laura, Rachael Mikols-Thomas and spouse Andy, Russell, Sam and Kelsey Mikols. Great Grandchildren Mason Wood and Audra Noland. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday Sept 9, 2015 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Costa Mesa at 11:00 am
