Ginny was a wonderful friend and neighbor and I will miss her very much. She was truly inspiring, with her own special way of living life to the fullest. She will always be in the hearts and the memories of her wide circle of family and friends.

Ginny was such a cheery presence on our block and it will never be the same. She was so friendly and chatty! She often stood in front of her house talking to people in two different cars at the same time, and she created for more than a few traffic jams. Tony and Wayne each tried to steer her inside but more often simply gave up and went back in to the house alone.
She was a supportive and loving friend. She stood by my side for years, accompanying me to doctor appointments and slow ambles through the park when I was unwell. After visits to Stanford we would go shopping and on one of those trips she bought a cheery yellow sweater that was a perfect match for her personality.
She was sunny and bright, but also honest and open about her sorrows and losses. She shared her pain and loneliness after losing Tony, her concerns for Wayne's health, and for her own. Still. every month she'd show up bright and cheery to pizza night with yummy brownies or mochi for dessert.
I learned from Ginny that strength can come in a small package, with a sweet and sunny disposition. Her determination, persistence and ability to take charge, especially when the chips were down, were evident in the way she dealt with the fire, cared for Tony in his last months, embarked on a new romance with Wayne, and insisted on emphasizing the quality of life.
Ginny was a bright presence on our block and so was her family. She loved to tell stories of your adventures. Salsa dancing in Costa Rica! Learning Arabic! Graduating from college! Moving in to the dorm! Weddings! After hours trips to the Jacuzzi! You took such good care of Ginny, and wrote a beautiful obituary that captured who she was. Each day our hearts broke a little more for you. Our street is sad and lonely but the rhododendrons are in glorious bloom, reminders of a lively, lovely woman and her amazing family

I will so miss my good friend of over twenty years.
Ginny's family meant everything to her. She always shared stories of her children and grandchildren with me, so much so that I felt I knew them well.
My prayers go out to all the family.
Always in our hearts.
...until we meet again, Ginny, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
