Obituary of Norma Emily Strite

Resident of Santa Cruz Norma Strite, loving wife and mother, passed away in Santa Cruz on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the age of 82. Norma was born in the small rustic town of Davenport, CA on March 19, 1934 to Ezio and Julia (Brovia) Stefani. She attended Pacific Elementary School in Davenport and graduated from Santa Cruz High in 1952. For a brief period (1979-1985) she lived in Sandpoint, ID but her heart was always in Santa Cruz County. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for County Bank in Santa Cruz. Norma loved the outdoors and going camping in her RV, motor home, campers and trailers. During the winter months she and her husband, Tom, would stay in Desert Hot Springs. Throughout the seasons they would go Trout fishing in the many lakes and rivers of Northern California including Eagle Lake which was her personal favorite. She enjoyed doing score-keeping for horseshoe tournaments with Tom, who pitches. An avid gym goer, she loved working out, keeping active and staying fit. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years, Tom Strite; daughter, Kathleen Anderson; stepsons, John and Michael Strite; nephews, Aaron, Corey and Mark Stefani; niece, Erica Stefani; and granddaughter, Morgan Strite. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Stefani (2009) and Eugene Stefani (2016). Per her wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in her honor to the charity of your choice.
