Obituary of Gregory Thomas Powell

Gregory left us on July 4, 2018 with his family and friends by his side. He was born November 10, 1976 in Watertown, NY to Thomas and Jane Powell. He graduated from Carthage Central High School in 1995 and attended Cortland Community College and graduated from Jefferson Community College with an associate's degree. He has lived in Santa Cruz, Ca for the last 10 years. He worked at Rivas on the wharf for 8 years and most recently at Malone's Restaurant. Gregory loved to travel and meet people, loved animals and the outdoors especially taking his dog, Jake, on walks in the forest and on the beach. He is survived by his mother Jane, Zephyrhills, Fl, his father and step-mother Thomas and Gina, Fort Mills, SC. Four Siblings: Jill, Santa Cruz, CA, Jason (Mindy), Newnan, GA, Sarah and Colby, Fort Mills, SC. He is allso survived by two nephews Braxton Wood and Brody Powell, two nieces Lexis Wood and Taylor Powell, several uncles, aunts, and cousins, also by his beloved dog, Jake. He was a free spirit and may he rest in peace.
