Dear Sara: I am extending heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your sister Leslie. I so enjoyed knowing her at work and I was fortunate enough to build a friendship. Leslie had a special quirkiness which I really adored. She was so incredibly smart and a gifted editor. When Leslie was diagnosed and stopped working I went to her home which was filled with beautiful art, books, and soul. It made me smile as home is one of my biggest joys. We went out for a hamburger and milkshake in Oakland and just talked about life and I of course updated her as to what was happening at work.
Leslie will have a piece of my heart always and I smile when I think of her in the good times. I am not able to attend the memorial this Saturday but I will be lighting a candle in my home for Leslie. Regards, BRUCE
