Charlie Wilson posted a condolence

I remember the first time I met Don, he impressed me as a mild mannered gentleman, a very likable guy with a kind smile. We both started work at TRW the very same day in the mid 1980's, although we did not work in the same department, when we ran into each other, we would shake our heads and wonder what in the heck we got ourselves into at TRW. The place was a mess, fraught with fraud, waste and abuse, even under investigation for misdeeds that happened before Don and I got there. Don and I both eventually moved on from TRW, when my '69 Mustang convertible was in an accident, I went to Don's MAACO to have it repaired and repainted....it looked great, it still looks pretty darn good after 20+ years of wear and tear. It's funny, when I went in the get an estimate for my Mustang, Don cheerfully gave me the "WJ" discount, which is ironic, because I never worked there. I guess at that point neither of us wanted to be associated with "that other company".
I pass along my deepest condolences to the family for your loss.
RIP Don, it was great knowing you...Charlie Wilson
