Obituary of Corinne Mae Kaitz

Corinne Kaitz was born September 6. 1930 to Thomas Plesko & Mollie Zobec in Roslyn, Washington. She passed away October 4, 2021 in Fresno, California at the age of 91 with her daughter by her side. Corinne attended Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Washington. While there she performed as a pianist in the very first live performance for the Seattle Youth Symphony in 1947 under the direction of Frances Aranyi. The Symphony orchestra became nationally known. Corinne later attended the University of Washington to study Music Theory. Corinne married Edward Kaitz and had 4 Children. Leslie, Ed, Vicki, and John. Corinne worked as a Court Reporter for Santa Cruz County. She volunteered for the Santa Cruz County Art Museum and produced the first “Wearable Art” fashion shows. Corinne loved following both her Sons sporting events and never missed a game. She was also an avid Giants fan. She loved attending the Kuumbwa Jazz center and was a big supporter of the Santa Cruz Symphony & SF Symphony. After Corinne moved to Fresno to be near her daughter, she volunteered for CASA. She spent over a year being an advocate of abused & neglected children for the court appointed Judge, after spending much time with each child. Corinne loved fast cars, was an excellent skier and played the piano eloquently imparting her wisdom on her kids, her grandkids and many of their friends. She touched many lives through her love of music and a good book. Corinne leaves behind 4 Children. Leslie Fitzpatrick of Seattle, Washington, Ed Kaitz of Coeur d’ alene, Idaho, Vicki Costello of Scottsdale, AZ and John Kaitz of Pacifica, California, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10am. Oakwood Memorial Park 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, California.
