Obituary of Bonnie Louise Dalton

Bonnie Louise Dalton, at the age of 93, after a brief illness, passed away on June 1, 2023, with family at her side. She was born in Palo Alto, California on November 17, 1929 to George Paul Baker and Edith Baker. She was raised in Santa Cruz, California and graduated from Santa Cruz High School in 1947.
Bonnie, and her husband Jim, met shortly after he returned from active duty from World War II. They married in 1948, set up their home in Santa Cruz and began raising their four daughters. They were married over sixty years.
Bonnie loved animals from an early age. She raised angora rabbits and entered them in rabbit shows where she received many awards. She loved to sing in church choirs and joined a volunteer singing group traveling to senior communities to sing Christmas songs. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, making Christmas ornaments from duck and goose eggs, knitting afghans and making quilts.
She is survived by her daughters Diana (Charles Hill) Bonner of Rancho Cordova, Donna (Saundie Isaak) Dalton of Bonny Doon and Doris (Ken) Sivertson of Salinas, as well as six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 2009, her daughter Debby Hill in 1997, as well as her brothers George P. Baker and Richard H. Baker, sister Pauline Baxter and granddaughter Becky Hutchings.
Bonnie was laid to rest with her husband at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
