Obituary of Arlene Carlisle Sharp

Arlene Carlisle Sharp, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2013 in Santa Rosa, California. She was almost 94 years old. She was born at home on May 20, 1919 in Florin, Sacramento County. She attended Elk Grove High School and Heald Business College in Sacramento. She was a bookkeeper and a rancher for more than 30 years. She lived in Elk Grove, California with her husband of 53 years, Bill Sharp, until they retired to Santa Cruz in 1979. She became an active member of The Native Daughters of the Golden West and volunteered with the Dominican Hospital Auxiliary in Santa Cruz for more than 15 years. She is survived by her daughter: Linda Brodie, her grandchildren: Amber Brodie, Shelley Blakeley, and Justin Sharp, great grandchildren: Taylor Sharp, Brooke Sharp, and Marissa Sharp, and dear friends: Bob and Jan Mattos. She will be buried with her husband Santa Cruz Memorial Park Garden of Faith, 1927 Ocean St., Santa Cruz, California on May 18, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Family and friends are welcome.
