Obituary of Dorothy Gean Seiverson

Dorothy Gean Seiverson passed away on Monday, December 23rd after a battle with dementia and congestive heart failure. She touched many lives and had a tremendous love for the Lord, her family and friends. She knew few strangers. Dorothy was born in Bokchita, Oklahoma and was proud of her Choctaw Indian heritage. She came to California in 1948 and stayed in Santa Cruz until 1990 when she and her husband moved to San Andreas, CA to act as Area Missionaries until their health declined and needed the assistance of their family in Santa Cruz. At age 82 she moved into LaPosada, her first time to have lived alone. The past three years she lived at Kindred Heathcare where she made many friends. Dorothy was always talking about the Lord and making sure whomever she was talking to heard the gospel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Seiverson. They were married 57 years. Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Marjory Glantz (Mike Glantz), Linda Boose (Art Boose) and Terry Quolas (Mark Quolas). She is also survived by two brothers, three sisters numerous nieces, nephews, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM with funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at Oakwood memorial Chapel 3301 Paul Sweet Road Santa Cruz CA 95065. A graveside committal will follow the Chapel service and a reception will be held at First Baptist Church 7565 Sunset Way in Aptos, CA 95003
