Obituary of Cora Belle Kramer Bell

Cora Bell, lovingly known as "GrGr" (The Greatest Grandma), passed away peacefully at her home in Scotts Valley on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the age of 102. Cora was born in Bridgeville, PA on July 28, 1911 to Peter and Alice Kramer. She spent her early years in Pennsylvania, then Arizona, San Mateo, CA and finally settled in Santa Cruz County in 1975. She worked as a nurse's assistant and ER Administrator at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City for 22 years. She was a member of the Felton Presbyterian Church and Aptos Twin Lakes Church. She liked all arts and crafts, painting, Scrabble, and enjoyed all time spent with family. She believed laughter was the secret to life. Cora is survived by her daughter, Carole and son-in-law, Butch; granddaughters, Jerri, Barbara, Jasmine, Holly and Heather; grandson, Chris and grandson-in-law, Dale; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Cody, Kristina, Isaiah and Lorenzo; great-great grandchildren, Caden, Brayden and Alexa; and a large extended family back East. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bell; son, Harold; grandson, Bill Rustad; and daughter-in-law, Patty. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 9th at 2 P.M. at the Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Dr., Aptos, CA 95003 with a reception to follow.
