We met Dan and Lani when we moved to Santa Cruz in 1988. They lived in the same Brookside Glen complex. They were wonderful neighbors and friends. We have fond memories of Dan organizing BBQ's and potlucks - he had a great sense of humor and was a great story teller. Our thoughts and sympathies to you, Lani, and family.

Though many years have passed since our days of playing youth soccer, I still recall the chearing voice of Mr. Eells on the sideline. Games were often followed with milkshakes and afternoons at the Pasatiempo house running the model steam engine under his guidance.
