Obituary of Amber Melissa Murphy

Amber Melissa Murphy passed away at her home after a hard fought battle with depression and mental illness. Those who knew Amber saw that from the outside she glowed, while on the inside she was often sad and afraid. She brought so much joy to those who loved her. Amber will be remembered for her smile, her laughter and those beyond blue eyes that lit up her beautiful face. Amber loved art, crafts, thrift shopping and especially her cats. Amber is survived by her Mother, Chris Murphy Fitzgerald, Stepfather Jim Fitzgerald and Father Stephen Murphy. Her Brother Ryan Murphy, Fiancé Kasey Cody, Grandmother's Carol Amick, Carolyn Amick and her many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and remarkable friends. Amber is preceded in death by her Grandfather Robert Amick, Cousin TJ Amick and Grandmother Maureen Fitzgerald. A Celebration of Amber's Life will be held at Oakwood Chapel 3301 Paul Sweet Road Santa Cruz, Ca. 95065 Saturday March 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
