Obituary of Judy Ann Winkler

Judy passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2012 at the age of 67 from a heart attack. Judy was born on August 19, 1944 in San Francisco. She moved with her family to Ben Lomond in 1948, then to Santa Cruz in 1964. In Judy's younger years she worked in child care and housekeeping. Judy was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church on Mission St., Santa Cruz.She recently moved to the Santa Cruz Healthcare Center, where she enjoyed music, friendship and laughter. Judy is survived by her two brothers and sister-in-laws, Larry and Sally Winkler of Grants Pass, OR. Frank and Peggy Winkler of Felton, CA. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Murray of Otis, OR. and sister and brother-in-law Preston and Marilyn Dyson of Santa Cruz, CA. She leaves her two cousins, Robert Johnston and Diane Nowak, nieces and nephews - Larry, Debbie, Susie, Scott, Wendy, Frank, Karen, Robert, Stephanie, Faith, Greg and Tommy and many great nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Coffee and brother Ron Winkler.The family wishes to thank the Santa Cruz Health Services Agency , Barbara Shean and Judy's friends for watching out for her over the years.Judy was a sweet and endearing sister. We will miss her dearly. Judy appreciated what people did for her, she loved to take rides by the ocean and looked forward to family get togethers.Graveside services at the Felton Cemetery will be held on Saturday, April 14th at 11:00 am. with a reception following for friends and family at the home of Marilyn Dyson.
