Obituary of Luis A. Pino

Luis A. Pino, 82, was born on September 14th, 1934 in Lima, Perú. He was a resident of Scotts Valley, California for the last fourteen years. He peacefully took his last breath on December 31st surrounded by his loving family. Luis leaves behind the love of his life, Dora Pino, his wife of 56 years, and his two children, Luis E. Pino of Grizzly Flats, Susana Pino-McNeely of Scotts Valley, and his only grandson whom he adored, Samuel McNeely. Luis is also survived by his sisters in Lima,Perú, Bertha Pino de Diaz, Odilia Pino de Diaz and Elizabeth Pino de Alva; his brothers Victor Pino and Cesar Pino from Argentina and many nieces and nephews. Luis will be especially missed by his wife's family to whom he was a brother, son, uncle, and godfather. He is also survived by a multitude of friends and family members in all corners of the earth. Luis is preceded in death by his parents Ricardo Pino Vivas & Pastora Cornejo de Pino and his sisters Obdulia Pino & Magda Avalos de Pino. Luis enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by family and friends. He was an avid dancer and had a great sense of humor. He loved God and felt blessed throughout his life. A Rosary will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial, Mission Chapel at Ocean Street Extension in Santa Cruz, California on Friday, January 13th, 2017 from 6-7pm. Doors will be opened at 4:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at San Agustin Catholic Church, 257 Glenwood Dr., Scotts Valley, CA 95066 on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at noon. Immediately following the services, friends are welcome to join the family for a celebration of remembrance and love at their home in Scotts Valley, Ca.
