Obituary of Charles A. Levine

CHARLES A. LEVINE December 25, 1922 - May 26, 2017 Died peacefully at home with his family at his side. Charlie's happy nature and listening ear brought happiness to all who crossed his path. Preceded in death by Beverly, his loving wife of 59 years. Survived by children Alice and Dan, and grandchildren Rosa, Charlie and Diane. A Navy veteran of World War II, he earned his PhD in Nuclear Chemistry from UC Berkeley. Active as a scientist, civic leader, and volunteer in many ways, his life's goal was well-met - to bring happiness and joy to others. Charlie will be sorely missed for his open heart, fine mind and his contagious love of life. Join us for a memorial on Monday, June 5, 2 pm, Oakwood Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz.
