Obituary of Audrey Russo

Audrey Russo, 88, passed away at her Santa Cruz home on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She is survived by her two sons, Ralph (Sandy) Russo of Santa Cruz and Thomas (Kimber) Russo of Elkhorn, her five grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and by her numerous nieces and nephews. Audrey is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Andy Russo, who passed away in 1994, and by her 2 brothers and 5 sisters. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, where at a young age, learned the meat cutting trade. She later met her future husband, Andy Russo. After their wedding in 1957, they came to Santa Cruz on their honeymoon and never left! They raised their family on King Street in Santa Cruz. Audrey was a longtime member of Holy Cross Church. She also loved going to lunch with her girlfriends, and for Audrey, St. Patrick's Day was the biggest holiday of the year. Funeral services will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel on Friday, June 23 at 10:30. Visitation for family and friends will be at the chapel from 9:30 until 10:30, and graveside services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside Andy.
