Obituary of Margaret Nervino

Margaret Nervino passed away peacefully at her home in Santa Cruz, CA on June 26, 2017 at the age of 92. Margaret was born in Compton, CA and lived most of her life in Santa Cruz, CA. Margaret had a long and successful career as a Registered Nurse in the operating room for over 50 years. Those who worked with Margaret knew her as a devoted and tireless member of the health care team. In her early nursing career she was a member of the U.S. World War II Cadet Nursing Corps. Margaret's family and friends will remember her as a kind-spirited, loving individual who never complained. She always had a smile on her face and was filled with love and grace. Margaret was preceded in death by Emilio Nervino, her husband of 56 years, and four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son Harry Nervino (Patti), her daughter Cynthia Sutherland, and four grandsons whom she adored. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at the Santa Cruz Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz on Wednesday, July 12 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Margaret's honor to the Hospice of Santa Cruz County.
