Joseph D'Esposito passed away at his home on Monday July 17. He was raised in West Hempstead, NY and received a business degree from the University of Miami. Joseph served in the US Navy as a Lt. Commander and was a pilot for Pan Am for 30 years. He loved sailing both on the east coast and in the San Francisco Bay. Joseph was a member of the Oriental Sailng Club of North Carolina. He enjoyed training dogs. He especially loved the "labs". Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie and a son, David and wife Maria D'Esposito and a daughter, Jeanine and husband Ken McCrary. He is also survived by grandchildren, Christal McCrary, Michelle Collins and Bejamin D'Esposito. Great grandchildren, Joe David and Thalia Munoz. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Helen D'Esposito. Services are planned for Saturday July 29, 2017 at 11 am at the Oakwood Memorial Chapel 3301 Paul Sweet Road Santa Cruz, CA. Donations in Joseph's name can be made to the Salvation Army, Paralyzed Veteran's of America or the S.P.C.A.
