Obituary of Gary Lonnell Williams

Gary "G-Dub" Lonnell Williams passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017, at age 45. He is survived by his partner Elizabeth Harless, daughter Bailey Marie Williams, and step daughters Kaitlyn Yee and Ashleigh Matacco. Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Marie Flores. A memorial service will be held at Oakwood Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, in Santa Cruz, CA, on Sunday, August 20, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gary's name to your local Boys & Girls Club. Gary was born in Nashville, TN, and grew up in Fresno, CA. He graduated from Hoover High School where he played football, baseball, and wrestled. He earned a full scholarship to play football in Eugene, OR, at the University of Oregon and was a member of the 1994 Rose Bowl class (Go Ducks!). After graduating with a degree in sociology, Gary played professional football for the San Jose SaberCats indoor arena football league. Gary pursued a variety of careers from music producer, rapper, and acting to real estate development and managing skilled nursing facilities. We love you Gary. You will be missed every day, but are forever in our hearts.
