Obituary of Ted Wayne Pickerrell

Ted Wayne Pickerrell passed away on Friday, October 13th. He was born in Oakland, CA on December 28, 1944 and was raised in Daly City. When he was 17 years old he joined the Air Force and entered an engineering program. During his military service in the early 1960's he was stationed abroad. Following his time in the Air Force he attended Santa Clara University and obtained an engineering degree and later he also obtained a Master's Degree. Ted spent 30 years in a career as an engineer and following his retirement he took a position as the Executive Director of the Santa Cruz Pregnancy Resource Center where he served faithfully for 10 years. Ted loved to play tennis every chance he could. He also loved reading his Bible and memorizing verses. He had a true passion for Christian ministry. Ted is survived by his wife, Ruth, as well as 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 2 step-children, and a brother and sister. He is also survived by many good friends made he made throughout his life including his excellent internist. Memorial Services are planned for Sunday October 29, 2017 at 3 pm at Trinity Bible Church 7301 Hwy 9, Felton, CA 95018 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pregnancy Resource Center, 1570 Soquel Drive, Suite 3, Santa Cruz, CA 95065 or to Trinity Bible Church.
