Obituary of Eileen Marie Lamothe

Eileen Marie Lamothe passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was 61. Eileen was born in Los Gatos, raised Ben Lomond where her parents owned the Town & Country Lodge, and graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School. She worked at the Cannery in Santa Cruz and as a caregiver for the elderly until she got married 1982. She resided in Aptos with her husband, two children and three cats. Eileen loved being out in nature, the animals, the Redwood trees and especially the ocean. Hawaii was her favorite vacation spot. She was a talented artist and was always taking photos. She enjoyed watching her son play baseball. Above all, she loved her family. Eileen is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mark P. Lamothe; son, Mark T. Lamothe; daughter, Lindsay Lamothe; father, Stan Lemke; sister, Kathye Burt; brother Alan Lemke; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Lemke and her brother, Stanley Lemke. Services will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial - Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street Ext., Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1 PM with burial to follow at Santa Cruz Memorial Park. The family requests that everyone wear colors inspired by the sea to the service.
