I met Dorothy and her family when Michael and I moved to Santa Cruz in 1970. She and her family were very hospitable neighbors on Otis Street and it was indeed a pleasure to be their neighbors for many years until Dorothy moved to Anderson, CA.
We shared many good times with Dorothy; she was a great hostess, an excellent cook and a very warm-natured person. We celebrated many holidays together, either at her home or our home. Her kindness, intelligence, thoughtfulness and generosity were greatly appreciated by those who knew Dorothy. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and loss. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort all of you. I am so very thankful to have known Dorothy as well as all of you for many,many years.
