Please accept my condolences. Marian was a wonderful hostess to me during the Cabrillo Music Festival in Santa Cruz, CA for quite a few years, both in the beach house in Aptos and later the condo in SC. I was a festival musician for many years in the 80's. We had the most wonderful talks sitting around her always-elegant table (ah, those beautiful fresh flowers!) : I remember her recounting stories of her travels here and there. She also had many memories of her years in San Francisco. She was such an accomplished and interesting woman and I enjoyed her company. And of course I was living in Fresno at the time, so we had stories to compare there, too. Now I'm living in Mexico; back in the day, I just know she would have loved to have heard all about that!
