Please accept my condolences to Johns family, Iam so sorry to hear of his passing. I first met John when he came to Santa Cruz, and worked at Don Starr Motors, he was a mechanic, I worked in the office, a mutual friend of ours Fred Wacaser was one of john's closest friends here in santa cruz, i would fix dinner for all of us, and John was a good cook himself, he was like a brother to me, he was so shy, kind,soft spoken we remained friends thruout his life here in santa cruz, i remember when he told me he was getting married, then some time would go by and i would run into him and he had a son named michael, My son's name is Michael as well, sometimes he would have me over this was before he was married, and he would cook Tamale Pie, it was fantastic, His love for his mother was tremendous he was a awonderful son. I never met his wife, met Shanna at the village a long time ago, When John first got into Antiques, he would travel to the midwest in his truck and pick up stuff lot of it painted furniture, we had antiques in common, I remember he lived on rigg st and it was full of his beautiful furniture, he had such a wonderful talent, morse chairs, dining room tables and chairs, dressers, he loved the hunt as well as restoring something had painted and bring it back to it's glory, He went thru a lot of stages in his youth, but he made a name for himself in Santa Cruz County, we would pick up like no time had passed when we would run into him, such a loving soul, RIP My Friend you will always be remembered, your forever friend Kandi.
