I have very fond memories of commuting to San Jose State with Marvin in the early 90's when we were both in the MSW program. Neither of us loved the program but riding with him made it fun. We had a great time trashing the program and the professors and talking about our lives and goals. When he worked at the County he was a big early supporter of the Community Connection program - he was on our first advisory board and he helped create the fun celebrations we had by bringing his band, the "Meltdowns." He had such a fun and generous spirit - I agree with Delores Manning that he was one of a kind. I lost touch with him after he left the County but have thought of him often. I have saved a picture of him with the Meltdowns at Community Connection and always planned on contacting him, getting together, and giving him the picture. I am so sorry he is gone way too soon. I will find a way to give the picture to his wife and family.

Dear Lee and Marvin,s Kids, I am very sorry to learn of Marvin's death and sorry for the grief you must feel. I am sure that Marvin's grace and buoyancy will help in some way. I have always thought of him as truly one of a kind. There must be a lot of people who agree.

Dear Lee Ann and family,
I knew Marvin when I worked at Dominican. He would visit the Medical Staff office / Administration there, always with a smile on his face. He was a delight to see him - always brightened my day. I am shocked and so sorry to hear of his passing. A GREAT guy. My sincere condolences to you and your family. With sadness, Katie
Lee Ann, I'm sure you remember my partner Johnny Simmons when you were on the Batdogs. We send you our love.
