Oh, Dear Uncle Mike. Well, you’re Mom’s cousin, but I always think of you and Berdell as my Uncle and Aunt. How fortunate am I….very! I only wish we had more time together, you Gracious Soul. Always lovely to be with in any room with your thousand watt smile. You are a great man to so many, Mike. A legend among men.

Dear Spellman family,
My deepest sympathies to you all. I was very saddened to hear the news of Dr. Spellman. He was a great doctor and a wonderful person with a lot of patience and a funny sense of humor. Back in the hospital I remember surgeons constantly thanking him for the great job he did in finding pathologies during angiography procedures/diagnosis. Early on in my tech career I remember always looking for Dr. Spellman when my images came out unreadable. I would sweat bullets and finally sigh in relief when I found him thinking- “Oh good Dr. Spellman is in the reading room!”
To Dr. Spellman:
Thank you for saving me so many times. It was an honor and blessing to work with you. You will always be in my mind and heart. I will miss you tremendously.

I had the privilege of working with Michael for two decades. A pleasure to be around a true gentleman with humor and contemplative style.
Memories that I always will have are the “lunch” meetings at Harris Ranch and Half Moon Bay via his plane.
