Archie, myself and Eli always had a great time together fishing and hanging out together. Archie was always ready to do anything as long as it was not sitting at home. I have never known anyone who had so much life in them like Archie at his age. He was very inspiring to be around. Eli and I will miss him as a fishing partner and friend. Rich in Montana

My name is Mike McCraw. I was the golf course superintendent at Seascape golf course during the time Archie and Faye had their demolition and tree service. Archie did quite a few jobs for the golf course so I got to know and like him through the years. Archie and I had some things in common including my being a US Navy veteran and I had lived in Oklahoma for a period. He started calling me a little shitbird after a while while I took to mean he liked me as much as I liked him. I have many memorable stories and would like to share one of them. One day I saw Archie and his truck parked and he was standing looking up at a 100 ft plus Monterey Cypress tree. I stopped and asked what he was doing. Archie said he was going to top that tree. Well Archie was probable 65 or 70 at the time and I asked who was going to climb the tree. He looks a me like I was crazy and shouts “who the hell do you think you little shitbird”. With that he put his climbing gear on and went to work. He was quite a memorable character in my life and I feel fortunate to have spent some time with him. My condolences to family and friends. He will be missed.
