Obituary of Wilma McHenry

Wilma McHenry passed from this world into eternal life with the Lord on May 23, 2023, at the age of 91. After being born and raised in the farming town of Okemah, Oklahoma, in 1931, Wilma headed for nearby Oklahoma City, where she met and married John McHenry while they were both music scholarship students at Oklahoma City University. They remained married for 63 years until John's passing in 2013. Soon after getting her young family of 3 boys established, Wilma discovered her vocational calling as a nutritionist and small business owner. She went on to have a successful 40-year career as the owner/operator of Cupertino Natural Foods and, later, Felton Nutrition. She touched many lives deeply through her vast knowledge of health and nutrition coupled with her kind and intuitive spirit. Wilma absolutely loved people! She thrived on befriending and relating to others. She was also an avid flower gardener, and she had a sweet and witty sense of humor. Wilma will be greatly missed by her three sons, Blake, Brad, and Brent, her brother, Leonard, her daughters-in-law, Helen, Angela, and Diana, her eight grandchildren, Matthew, Shannon, Mason, Autumn, Joseph (in heaven), Faith-Marie, Jessica, and Patrick, her seven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Annemarie, Gavin, Bryson, Kaine, Serenity, and Gracelyn, her niece and nephew, Karen and Samuel, and the many, many, friends she made during her beautiful life's journey. Wilma was truly a lover of life who had a lasting and positive effect on those fortunate to know her. We love you Mom! You will forever be in our hearts.
