Obituary of Matthew Judah Jacobs

Matthew Jacobs passed away at the young age of 41 in Santa Cruz, California on September 9th, 2023. Matt’s spirit, however, has remained within all the people’s lives he has been a part of. Matthew was born on November 1, 1981, in Santa Cruz, CA to his Mother, Vicki Kaitz Jacobs, and to his Father, Jeffrey Jacobs, who passed away on June 8th, 2023. After graduating High School, Matt set off to discover who he was and where life would take him, attracting the love and respect of so many along the way. Matthew’s selflessness and empathy towards others were unmatched and will always be remembered. Matthew's journey of self-discovery also led him to success. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked his way up to become the vice president of escrow operations at Stewart Title Company, where he was highly respected and beloved by his colleagues. Matthew is survived by his wife, Olga; his two beautiful children, Kayla and Hudson; his mother, Vicki; his sister, Jenny; his brother, Michael, as well as his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy will continue to inspire us to live our lives with intention and kindness, to laugh often, and to cherish the joys of life.
