Obituary of Melissa Estrada-Garcia

Melissa Estrada-Garcia, a shining example of optimism and determination, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023. Born April 25, 1956, Melissa, also known as Lissa, led a full life marked by artistic creativity and a nurturing spirit. Those who knew her well would readily attest that she was bright and exuberant, adventurous and generous. She was known for her tenacity, tackling the challenges life threw her way with a positive attitude and an eye for the bright side. Her love for art and skilled eye was evident to all. Monet & Hanson were her favorites. However, Melissa's talent extended far beyond appreciation. She was a successful professional artist, painting signs and windows all over Central California and reaching as far as the Midwest. Her legacy is a collection of cheerful and colorful art that continues to bring joy to the world, exactly as she did. Melissa was also a dedicated gardener, investing her spare time in the cultivation of beauty around her home, always bringing her flowers to others. She was a living testament to her own best advice - to focus on the bright side and stay flexible. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Garcia, her daughter Leah, her son Erik, her grandson Tyler, brothers Mike and Dave and sister Sandra. Melissa's life will be celebrated at Quail Hollow Ranch County Park on October 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM. As we remember and honor Melissa, we are reminded that her spirit and artistic legacy will continue to inspire us and bring joy to our lives.
