Obituary of Wilbert Louis Wicht

Wilbert Louis Wicht passed away on October 19, 2023 at the age of 91 into the loving care of our Heavenly Father. Wilbert was born and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains where his family settled to farm fruit in the 1800’s. He attended Highland grade school and graduated from Los Gatos High School. Most of Wilbert’s young life was spent working on the family farm. Later in life he had a landscaping and gardening business and worked at Webb’s Farm Supplies in Soquel. Wilbert was quiet and had a subtle sense of humor that showed up when least expected. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed his church and church family. He loved to listen to music, watch old western movies and spend time with his faithful dog Bella. As the Patriarch of the family Wilbert will be greatly missed by four generations of Nieces and nephews. The family if most grateful for his church family, his wonderful friend, Hugh Seagraves and his loyal caregivers Rosy and Ann for their exceptional care. A special thank you to his long-term caregiver, Rosy, for her unwavering support, kindness, and friendship. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Wilbert’s life on December 9th at 2:00 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1024 Cayuga Street, Santa Cruz, CA.
