Garth, like many of your students in large classes at UCSC, I was not memorable. (Maybe that’s good!) But you made an enough of an impact on me that I remember you over thirty-five years later. I had dinner last night with Jason and Stephanie Nielsen and he mentioned that you had lost your wife very recently. On behalf of a multitude of students, my sincere condolences, the loss of a spouse leaves such a hole in your life. Prayer for you and your family.
