Obituary of Anna Louise Legner-Brunetti-Foster

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 1st for Anna Louise Legner-Brunetti-Foster who passed away last week after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 46 years old. A native of Santa Cruz, Anna was born to Jack Legner and Mary (Greear) Legner on May 6, 1965. She went home to the Lord on March 15, 2012 while on a cruise aboard the Carnival cruise ship "Inspiration" in international waters off the Northern coast of Baja California. Anna was among the first graduates of the Santa Cruz High School TAM program. Education was always an important aspect in her life. She worked her way up over the past 17 years in the Scotts Valley School District to a position as an accountant. She volunteered to serve school lunches in Scotts Valley, as well as AWANA and Ushered at Santa Cruz Bible Church. She loved animals, pet sitting and the Santa Cruz County Fair. She loved Natural Bridges State Park and the monarch butterflies there. Henry Cowell State Park was a favorite place to walk and read as often as she could. She was a roller coaster fanatic and jigsaw puzzle addict; held a Tae Kwon Do black belt; and also enjoyed travel, camping, hiking, knitting, biking and video arcades. She is survived by: her two children, Christopher Brunetti of Aptos and Ashley Brunetti of Scotts Valley; her six siblings, Arlene and husband Mike Bivans of Clay Center, Neb, Kenny Murray of Aptos, Vern Murray of Capitola, Cindy Murray of Watsonville, Don & wife Becky Murray of Scotts Valley, Alisha & husband Ryan Walton of Capitola; Aunt Jayna & Uncle Dan Voorhees. Nieces: Michaela Klein, Brenda Bandt, Sarabeth Avalos, Krystal Silva, and Amanda Krueger. Nephews: AJ Murray, Donovan and Dorian Walton. Cousins: Erica Rupp and Brenda Fiscus. She is also survived by great-nieces Mason Kruetz, Ashlynn Klein, Krystina Avalos, and Talia Bandt, and great-nephews Levi Klein, Kevin Avalos, Jose Silva, Noah Klein, Alex Silva and Nathaniel Bandt. Anna was preceded in death by her mother. Donations may be made in her honor for education in local redwood parks with the Mountain Parks Foundation: www.mountainparks.org Memorial Services for Anna will be held at Santa Cruz Bible Church, 440 Fredrick St., Santa Cruz, and Ca. at 2:00p.m. on Sunday April 1st .
