gabe was one of the first people I met coming here from kauai instant Braddahs we would go out at playing pool at Bradyz. she was such a joy to be around. I could only hope to have such connections that he did with the people that loved him. This is the beginning of a painting I’m starting hobbit gave me a picture of him right after he left us and I’m trying to make good on a promise I made to hobbit . I miss you, Gabe.

We learned of Gabe's passing today, over a year later. Gabe was always a shining face and great personality when we went to Gilda's for dinner. John and I couldn't remember the last time we came to Santa Cruz (we live over the hill), but were shocked and saddened to hear of his death in December 2017. Please know we are praying for the family and will never go to Gilda's without raising a glass to Gabe. God's speed Gabe, Leslie and John
