Obituary of Gabriel Harley Dixon

It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic death of Gabriel Harley Dixon in a Capitola house fire. He was born in Santa Cruz to Sheryl (Dixon) Loomis and Robert Dixon. His big sister Mary loved him from the very beginning as did the entire extended family. Gabe was rich with friends encompassing early childhood buddies, skaters, surfers and, due to his 20 years working for Gilda's on the wharf, an abundance of friends from there. He preferred a simple life: no computer, car or cable TV, but he did have an exhaustive collection of movies. He was also an avid baseball fan, especially the SF Giants, and was a pretty darn good player himself. His sense of humor was legend. Dogs and kids loved him. He has left behind his parents, step-father, step-mother, sister and an ocean of friends who will always love him. We will have a memorial in the near future and will put the word out at that time. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite worthy cause in his honor. Love one another.
